Myka Meier, the social savant who cultivated a resurgence in the interest of modern etiquette in the United States, is introducing the next iteration of her in-person programing this October. Following the success of Meier’s sold-out Plaza Hotel Finishing Program and working with C-Suite to Associate level employees at Fortune100 companies, Meier has seen firsthand how highly sought-after information has become for revised etiquette practices. Meier explains, “Through my teaching practices, I place kindness at the forefront of everything I do. My interpretation of the definition of etiquette is simply treating those around you with respect.”
With Meier’s approachable, upbeat, and positive outlook, it is evident she is not your Grandmother’s Etiquette Teacher. Meier shares digestible videos with her social media audience on topics like how to eat and discard an oyster, a non-awkward way to determine who should pay on a date, and the correct hand placement to hold a wine glass. Meier’s in-person events dive further into societal and business situations by covering topics such as client entertaining, email etiquette, the order of introductions, cross cultural etiquette, dining rules that differ from restaurants to private homes, children & teens etiquette, social graces and more.
In Meier’s Back to Business course, she provides insights into a variety of corporate and networking situations. From appropriate introductions, to email protocol, client entertaining, the best time of to negotiate, effective communication, cross cultural etiquette, and more, Meier’s tips are applicable from internship level employees to C-Suite executives.
The Social Savvy course covers topics from hosting 101, wedding and event etiquette, to modern dating with app do’s and don’ts, and gaining confidence, while her Delectable Dining Course hones in on skills needed for Western Table dining. With a strong focus on how to eat tricky foods, causal to formal settings, cocktail party tips, finger foods, explanation of the table setting and so much more, the tips provided allow you to focus on the company you are with rather than on eating the meal correctly.
Meier’s signature Duchess Effect course, as well as her wildly popular Children’s and Teen’s courses will be making appearances at her upcoming stops. Parents can expect subjects such as how to set the table, developing social skills with confidence, greeting superiors with respect, to social media top during the 90-minute lesson. As for Meier’s most highly requested course – the 5-hour all-inclusive Duchess Effect is back and better than ever before.
This October, the new Myka Meier Finishing Program will hit the road with stops in NYC, Charleston, Charlotte, and South Florida.
